In their opening game, Wagner defeated Andrea Tabanelli (Perugia, ITA) 5-4, then won 9-5 against Christiane Putzich (Fuessen, GER). Wagner went on to lose 7-5 against Aileen Neilson (Stirling, SCO). Wagner responded with a 10-3 win over Ivo Hasler (St. Gallen, SUI). Wagner went on to lose 6-3 against Viljo Petersson-Dahl (Stockholm, SWE). Wagner responded with a 8-3 win over Eric Decorvet (Lausanne, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
