Poulsen won 4-1 against Tadas Vyskupaitis (Vilnius, LTU), then won 8-4 against Israel's Alex Pokras and 8-7 against Lan Zagar (Ljubljana, SLO). Poulsen went on to lose 8-2 against Andrew Reed (Kent, ENG) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships Championship title, Poulsen earned 22.444 world rankings points, moving up 324 spots the World Ranking Standings into 156th place overall with 23.034 total points. Poulsen ranks 107th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 23.034 points earned so far this season.
