Vez won 7-6 against Pavol Pitonak (Bratislava, SVK). Vez went on to lose 8-5 against Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT). Vez lost 8-5 to David Sik (Prague, CZE) where Vez responded with a 9-5 win over Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR) in their final qualifying round match.

Vez earned 5.611 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 114th place overall with 35.115 total points. Vez ranks 86th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 29.530 points earned so far this season.
