Kim won 7-4 against Eve Muirhead (Perth, UK), then won 12-5 against Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) and 7-6 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Kim won 9-6 against Nina Roth (Blaine, USA), then won 11-2 against Victoria Moiseeva (St. Petersburg, OAR) and 9-3 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Pyeongchang Winter Games - Women, Kim take home 87.141 world rankings points. Kim move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 85.165 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 15th overall with 415.409 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 251.420 points earned so far this season.
