Virginija Paulauskaite (Vilnius, LTU) finished 3-6 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paulauskaite lost 7-3 to Spain's Oihane Otaegi, droppimg another game, 8-4 to Kristin Moen Skaslien (Oslo, NOR). Paulauskaite lost 10-1 to Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT). Paulauskaite lost 7-6 to Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) where Paulauskaite responded with a 11-8 win over Alina Pavlyuchik (Minsk, BLR). Paulauskaite went on to lose 9-6 against Lisa Farnell (Tunbridge Wells, ENG). Paulauskaite responded with a 6-5 win over Marianne Neeleman (Zoetermeer, NED). Paulauskaite won 7-5 against Marta Szeliga-Frynia (Lodz, POL). Paulauskaite went on to lose 8-0 against Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST) in their final qualifying round match.

Paulauskaite earned 1.945 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 210th place overall with 4.613 total points. Paulauskaite ranks 171st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.529 points earned so far this season.
