In their opening game, Guzman lost 9-4 to Al Gulseth (Fargo, ND), then responded with a 7-6 win over Greg Wilson (Chicago, IL). Guzman went on to lose 9-2 against David Brown (Madison, WI). Guzman responded with a 7-2 win over Bill Stopera (Ardsley, NY). Guzman went on to lose 7-5 against Lyle Sieg (Seattle, WA). Guzman lost 11-7 to Chad Roberts (Detroit, MI) where Guzman responded with a 10-6 win over Brent Halfmann (Stephen, MN). Guzman went on to lose 8-6 against Justin McBride (San Francisco, CA). Guzman lost 6-4 to Jeffrey Knott (Dallas-Fort Worth, TX) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Guzman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Guzman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
