Koe won 8-6 against John Epping (Toronto, ON), then won 4-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) and 10-3 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Koe went on to lose 11-6 against Gushue in their final qualifying round match.
