Yi Wei Fu/De Jia Zou (Beijing, CHN) finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fu/Zou lost 5-4 to Dilsat Yildiz/Ugurcan Karagoz (Eruzurum, TUR), then responded with a 7-5 win over Evita Regza/Renars Freidensons (Riga, LAT). Fu/Zou won 8-7 against Sitora Alliyarova/Abylay Zhuzbay (Almaty, KAZ) in their final qualifying round match.
