Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI) won 6-4 over Andrea Crawford (Fredericton, NB) in the Final of the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, held December 7 - 9, 2018 at the Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club in Saint John, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Birt won 8-6 over Veronica Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) in the semifinals of the 2018 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; and won 6-4 over Cathlia Ward (St. John's, NL) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada;
 
Birt finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt defeated Justine Comeau (Fredericton, NB) 6-3, then won 5-3 against Judy Ross (Fredericton, NB). Birt went on to lose 7-1 against Smith. Birt responded with a 8-6 win over Stacey McCormack-Lacey (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic Championship title, Birt earned 16.413 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 45th place overall with 102.762 total points. Birt ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 87.280 points earned so far this season.
