Nicky Kaufman (Edmonton, AB) won 5-1 over Tiffany Steuber (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Avonair Cash Spiel, held September 27 - 30, 2018 at the Avonair Curling Club in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Kaufman won 11-4 over Marla Sherrer (Lacombe, AB) in the semifinals of the 2018 Avonair Cash Spiel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 6-2 over 's Jodi Marthaller in the quarterfinals.

Kaufman finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaufman defeated Chantele Broderson (Edmonton, AB) 6-2, then won 6-5 against Steuber and 8-1 against 's Krysta Hilker in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Avonair Cash Spiel Championship title, Kaufman earned 20.465 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 26 spots the World Ranking Standings into 77th place overall with 45.221 total points. Kaufman ranks 46th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.465 points earned so far this season.
