To advance to the championship game, Lang/Lang won 8-5 over Chaelynn Kitz/Shane Kitz (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2018 Sutherland Mixed Doubles Curling Classic in Saskatoon; and won 9-5 over Cori Debert/Aaron Shutra (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Sutherland Mixed Doubles Curling Classic in Saskatoon;
 
Lang/Lang finished 3-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lang/Lang defeated Kitz/Kitz 11-10, then went on to lose 5-3 against Ashley Quick/Mike Armstrong (Regina, SK). Lang/Lang responded with a 7-3 win over Brett Barber/Darren Camm (Biggar, SK). Lang/Lang won 9-7 against Martin/Jacobson in their final qualifying round match.
