Kody Hartung (Saskatoon , SK) won 7-1 over Jiafeng Tian (Beijing, CHN) in the Final of the Farmers Edge SCT, held December 7 - 9, 2018 at the Wadena Curling Club in Wadena, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Hartung won 7-6 over Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2018 Farmers Edge SCT in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 5-2 over Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Farmers Edge SCT in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Hartung finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hartung defeated Mitchell Dales (Saskatoon, SK) 5-3, then won 3-1 against Jayden Bindig (Wadena, SK). Hartung went on to lose 5-4 against Tian. Hartung responded with a 6-3 win over Brad Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Farmers Edge SCT Championship title, Hartung earned 12.836 world rankings points along with the $4,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 35th place overall with 118.923 total points. Hartung ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 99.815 points earned so far this season.
