In their opening game, Watling defeated Hayley Bergman (Morris, MB) 8-2, then won 11-0 against Patsy Gregoire (Winnipeg, MB) and 5-2 against Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB). Watling won 9-2 against Einarson in their final qualifying round match.
