Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) won 7-2 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN) in the Final of the Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men's Curling Championship, held March 30 - April 7, 2019 in Lethbridge, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Edin won 8-2 over Yuta Matsumura (Sapporo, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2019 Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men's Curling Championship in Lethbridge, Alberta;

Edin finished 11-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN) 9-4, then won 9-4 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) and 11-5 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Oslo, NOR). Edin won 8-2 against Marc Muskatewitz (Baden Baden, GER), then won 8-3 against Matsumura. Edin went on to lose 6-5 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Edin responded with a 9-4 win over Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI). Edin won 9-5 against Sergei Glukhov (Sochi, RUS), then won 9-4 against Koe and 7-5 against SooHyuk Kim (Seoul, KOR). Edin won 8-4 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA), then won 7-4 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men's Curling Championship Championship title, Edin earned 86.080 world rankings points. Edin move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 51.426 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 2nd overall with 406.347 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Edin ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 406.347 points earned so far this season.
