Ramsfjell went on to lose 8-4 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Ramsfjell responded with a 5-3 win over Marc Muskatewitz (Baden Baden, GER). Ramsfjell went on to lose 8-3 against Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN). Ramsfjell lost 8-5 to SooHyuk Kim (Seoul, KOR). Ramsfjell lost 8-5 to Sergei Glukhov (Sochi, RUS). Ramsfjell lost 8-4 to John Shuster (Duluth, USA) in their final qualifying round match.

Ramsfjell earned 8.608 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
