Brette Richards (Kelowna, BC) finished 3-2 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Richards lost 9-7 to Nicole Backe (Victoria, BC), then responded with a 11-3 win over Sheila Cowan (New Westminster, BC). Richards won 8-1 against Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC), then won 10-7 against Sarah Daniels (Delta, BC). Richards went on to lose 9-5 against Lindsay Hudyma (Vancouver, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Richards earned 2.227 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 18 of the event schedule, Richards did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Richards ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
