Jie Mei (Beijing, CHN) finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mei defeated Bridget Becker (Naseby, NZL) 12-5, then won 10-6 against Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN) and 9-2 against Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG). Mei won 12-1 against Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST). Mei went on to lose 8-6 against Oona Kauste (Aland, FIN). Mei responded with a 9-3 win over Marta Pluta (Gilwice, POL). Mei won 9-1 against Anne Shibuya (Sao Paolo, BRZ) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Women's World Qualification Event Championship title, Mei earned 25.650 world rankings points. Mei move up 7 spots after posting a net gain of 18.853 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 31st overall with 129.845 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Mei ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 123.048 points earned so far this season.
