Mayu Natsuizaka (Sapporo, JPN) finished 3-5 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Natsuizaka lost 11-1 to Tori Koana (Fujiyoshida, JPN), then responded with a 8-7 win over Aki Goto (Suzuka, JPN). Natsuizaka went on to lose 9-4 against Seina Nakajima (Nagano, JPN). Natsuizaka lost 8-6 to Kaede Kudo (Tokyo, JPN). Natsuizaka lost 9-1 to Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN). Natsuizaka lost 8-1 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) where Natsuizaka responded with a 14-2 win over Minako Tsuji (Karuizawa, JPN). Natsuizaka won 9-4 against Wakaba Kawamura (Aomori, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Natsuizaka earned 6.145 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 76 spots the World Ranking Standings into 185th place overall with 7.765 total points. Natsuizaka ranks 185th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.765 points earned so far this season.
