Suzanne Birt (Montague, PEI) is set to play Birt in the Final Birt advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the PEI Scotties, held January 8 - 12, 2020 at the Montague Curling Club in Montague, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Birt won 8-1 over Veronica Smith (Summerside, PEI) in the semifinals of the 2020 PEI Scotties in Montague, Prince Edward Island, Canada;
Birt finished 4-1 in the 5-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt defeated Melissa Morrow (Summerside, PEI) 8-2, then won 6-5 against Smith. Birt went on to lose 5-4 against Smith. Birt responded with a 7-6 win over Morrow. Birt won 9-5 against Smith in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the PEI Scotties Championship title, Birt earned 6.188 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Birt did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Birt ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
