Yoshimura finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yoshimura defeated Eun ji Gim (Uijeongbu, KOR) 4-2, then won 5-4 against Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon , KOR) and 6-3 against Schwaller. Yoshimura won 6-3 against Laurie St-Georges (Montreal, QC), then won 8-2 against Erin Morrissey (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, Yoshimura take home 30.250 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN prize.
