Jessie Hunkin (Spruce Grove, AB) qualified for the 2023 Hack2House Alberta Curling Series Major playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-5 against Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN). of the 2023 Hack2House Alberta Curling Series Major in Beaumont, Alberta, Canada;

Hunkin finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hunkin lost 8-2 to Rui Wang (Beijing, CHN), then responded with a 6-5 win over Kellie Stiksma (Edmonton, AB). Hunkin went on to lose 5-3 against Miyu Ueno (Karuizawa, JPN). Hunkin responded with a 8-7 win over Myla Plett (Sherwood Park, AB). Hunkin won 6-5 against Wang, then won 6-1 against Youbeen Park (Seoul, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Hunkin earned 12.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Hack2House Alberta Curling Series Major, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 155.516 total points. Hunkin ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.000 points earned so far this season.
