Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) won 7-5 over Benny Kapp (Fuessen, GER) in the Final of the HUB International Alberta Curling Series Major, held September 14 - 18, 2023 at the Beaumont Curling Club in Beaumont, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Sluchinski won 4-2 over Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI) to advance to the championship game. of the 2023 HUB International Alberta Curling Series Major in Beaumont, Alberta, Canada; of the 2023 HUB International Alberta Curling Series Major in Beaumont, Alberta, Canada;
 
Sluchinski finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sluchinski defeated Rob Nobert (Vernon, BC) 7-2, then won 5-3 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) and 7-5 against Cameron de Jong (Penticton, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the HUB International Alberta Curling Series Major Championship title, Sluchinski earned 41.250 world rankings points along with the $7,500CDN first prize cheque. Sluchinski move up 7 spots after posting a net gain of 27.75 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 12th overall with 215.875 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Sluchinski ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 63.750 points earned so far this season.
