To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg/Eriksson won 9-8 over Almida de Val/Daniel Magnusson (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the semifinals of the Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden; and won 8-6 over Julie Zelingrova/Vitek Chabicovsky (Prague, CZE) in the quarterfinals. of the Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden;
Hasselborg/Eriksson finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg/Eriksson defeated Rachele Scalesse/Fabio Ribotta (Trentino, ITA) 9-3, then won 8-2 against Marta Szeliga-Frynia/Pawel Frynia (Lodz, POL) and 5-4 against Lotta Immonen/Markus Sipila (Espoo, FIN). Hasselborg/Eriksson won 7-2 against Jasmin Lander/Henrik Holtermann (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup Championship title, Hasselborg/Eriksson earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $4,570CDN first prize cheque. For week 23 of the event schedule, Hasselborg/Eriksson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hasselborg/Eriksson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
