Eddy/McDonald Reaches St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic Semifinals

Lori Eddy/Scott McDonald (St. Thomas, ON) run at the St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-2 loss to Lisa Weagle/John Epping (Toronto, ON). of the St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada; Eddy/McDonald advanced through the quarterfinals with a 8-7 win over Riley Sandham/Brendan Craig (Guelph, ON).

Eddy/McDonald finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Eddy/McDonald lost 7-6 to Carrie Robertson/Alex Robertson (Palmerston, ON), then responded with a 10-4 win over Stephanie Senneker/Marcus Gleaton (Kalamazoo, MI). Eddy/McDonald won 12-4 against Sarah Bailey/Dylan Sipura (Georgetown, ON), then won 7-4 against Michelle Butler/Jerry Butler (Cambridge, ON). Eddy/McDonald went on to lose 6-5 against Meaghan Mallett/Brendan Jackson (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Eddy/McDonald earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic. For week 21 of the event schedule, Eddy/McDonald did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Eddy/McDonald ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
