To advance to the championship game, Roenning/Braenden won 7-4 over Marie Kaldvee/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) in the semifinals of the WCT Tallinn Mixed Doubles International in Tallinn, Estonia; and won 8-4 over Nora Oestgaard/Eskild Eriksen (Oslo, NOR) in the quarterfinals.
Roenning/Braenden finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Roenning/Braenden defeated Adela Walczak/Andrzej Augustyniak (Lodz, POL) 10-9, then won 6-4 against Lea Hueppi/Jonas Weiss (Dubendorf, SUI) and 9-4 against Therese Westman/Robin Ahlberg (Stockholm, SWE). Roenning/Braenden won 7-3 against Astrid Pfluegler/Mattaus Hofer (Kitzbuehel, AUT), then won 12-1 against Oestgaard/Eriksen in their final qualifying round match.
