Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) won 7-3 over Kyler Kleibrink (Langley, BC) in the Final of the Kamloops Crown of Curling, held October 27 - 29 at the Kamloops Curling Club in Kamloops, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Pierce won 6-5 over Wes Craig (Shawnigan Lake, BC) in the semifinals of the Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; and won 5-4 over Jared Kolomaya (Richmond, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada;
Pierce finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pierce defeated Brad Thompson (Kamloops, BC) 11-7, then went on to lose 8-4 against Dave Belway (Penticton, BC). Pierce responded with a 7-3 win over Paul Cseke (Victoria, BC). Pierce went on to lose 6-5 against Cameron de Jong (Penticton, BC). Pierce responded with a 8-4 win over Cseke in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Kamloops Crown of Curling Championship title, Pierce earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 68th place overall with 50.171 total points. Pierce ranks 46th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.750 points earned so far this season.
