Orrin Carson (Stirling, SCO) finished 4-4 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carson defeated Arran Thomson (Perth, SCO) 7-2, then went on to lose 7-3 against Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO). Carson responded with a 8-3 win over Ross Craik (Stirling, SCO). Carson went on to lose 7-4 against Kyle Waddell (Hamilton, SCO). Carson lost 7-1 to Bruce Mouat (STIRLING, SCO) where Carson responded with a 6-5 win over James Craik (Forfar, SCO). Carson won 8-5 against Gavin Cameron (Moray, SCO). Carson went on to lose 9-5 against Fraser Swanston (Forfar, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Carson earned 8.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 43 spots the World Ranking Standings into 112th place overall with 18.000 total points. Carson ranks 113th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.000 points earned so far this season.
