Rebecca Morrison (Stirling , SCO) lost 9-2 to Fay Henderson (Dumfries, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Championships, held February 4 - 10 in Dumfries, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Morrison won 7-3 over Robyn Munro (Stirling, SCO) in the semifinals of the Scottish Curling Championships in Dumfries, Scotland;
Morrison finished 8-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morrison defeated Lesley Young (Forfar, SCO) 9-0, then won 12-8 against Munro. Morrison went on to lose 8-3 against Henderson. Morrison lost 7-6 to Lucy Blair (Stirling, SCO) where Morrison responded with a 11-3 win over Jodi Leigh Bass (Dumfries, SCO). Morrison won 9-3 against Young, then won 7-2 against Munro and 7-4 against Henderson. Morrison won 9-6 against Blair, then won 11-2 against Leigh Bass in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Scottish Curling Championships, Morrison take home 13.750 world rankings points, remaining in 15th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 8.5 after improving upon their best so far this season. Morrison ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 162.375 points earned so far this season.
