For winning the BDO Canadian Open Championship title, McEwen earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $25,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 3th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 25 after improving upon their best so far this season. McEwen ranks 1th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 236.320 points earned so far this season.
