Heath McCormick (Blaine, USA) won 6-4 over Jake Higgs (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Huron ReproGraphics Oil Heritage Classic, held October 27 - 30, 2016 in Sarnia, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, McCormick won 8-4 over Brent Ross (Harriston, ON) in the semifinals of the 2016 Huron ReproGraphics Oil Heritage Classic in Sarnia, Ontario; and won 6-4 over Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON) in the quarterfinals.
 
McCormick finished 4-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCormick lost 5-3 to Richard Krell (Waterloo, ON), then responded with a 5-0 win over Jon St. Denis (Stouffville, ON). McCormick won 5-4 against Wayne Tuck Jr. (Brantford, ON), then won 8-6 against Hugh Murphy (Mississauga, ON). McCormick went on to lose 4-3 against Todd Birr (Blaine, USA). McCormick responded with a 9-6 win over Krell in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Huron ReproGraphics Oil Heritage Classic Championship title, McCormick earned 32.766 world rankings points along with the $4,700CDN first prize cheque, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 35th place overall with 147.227 total points. McCormick ranks 16th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 104.533 points earned so far this season.
