Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN) won 5-4 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the Final of the Karuizawa International, held December 17 - 20, 2015 in Karuizawa, Japan.

Ogasawara finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ogasawara defeated Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) 7-4, then went on to lose 7-6 against Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN). Ogasawara responded with a 6-4 win over Japan's Mayu Minami. Ogasawara won 4-3 against Ji Suk Kim (JeonBuk, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Karuizawa International Championship title, Ogasawara earned 39.874 world rankings points along with the $11,519CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 240.967 total points. Ogasawara ranks 20th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 109.867 points earned so far this season.
