Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) finished 6-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kleibrink defeated
Marie-France Larouche (Ste-Foy, PQ) 9-1, then went on to lose 9-8 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC). Kleibrink lost 8-7 to Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Kleibrink lost 8-5 to Jan Betker (Regina, SK) where Kleibrink responded with a 7-3 win over Colleen Jones (Halifax, NS). Kleibrink won 7-6 against Sherry Anderson (Delisle, SK), then won 7-6 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) and 7-4 against Jo-Ann Rizzo (Brantford, ON). Kleibrink won 7-3 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Canadian Curling Trials Championship title, Kleibrink earned 0.000 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Kleibrink did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kleibrink ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
