McMillan responded with a 7-3 win over Brian Binnie (Forfar, SCO). McMillan won 5-3 against Gordon Muirhead (Pitlochry, SCO). McMillan went on to lose 8-5 against David Murdoch (Lockerbie, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
