Wood won 8-4 against Scotland's Kerry Barr, then won 10-6 against Scotland's Sharon Stewart and 11-5 against Reid. Wood won 6-3 against Scotland's Rhona Martin. Wood went on to lose 7-6 against Scotland's Edith Loudon. Wood responded with a 7-6 win over Scotland's Sheila Swan in their final qualifying round match.
