In their opening game, Hanna lost 10-2 to Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Terry Loschuk (Calgary, AB) where Hanna responded with a 10-2 win over Japan's Moe Meguro. Hanna won 10-8 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB), then won 9-8 against Renee Sonnenberg (Grande Prairie, AB). Hanna went on to lose 10-4 against Deb Santos (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
