Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni 7-4, then won 9-1 against Germany's Andrea Schoepp and 7-5 against Sweden's Anette Norberg. Canada's Kelly Scott won 8-4 against Debbie McCormick (Madison, USA), then won 9-0 against Italy's Diana Gaspari and 8-3 against Japan's Moe Meguro. Canada's Kelly Scott won 6-5 against China's Bingyu Wang, then won 8-2 against Czech Republic's Hana Synackova and 10-5 against Russia's Liudmila Privivkova. Canada's Kelly Scott won 8-1 against Denmark's Angelina Jensen. Canada's Kelly Scott went on to lose 7-5 against Scotland's Kelly Wood in their final qualifying round match.
