Debbie McCormick (Madison, USA) finished 7-4 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCormick defeated
Denmark's Angelina Jensen 11-6, then won 11-6 against Italy's Diana Gaspari. McCormick went on to lose 8-4 against Canada's Kelly Scott. McCormick lost 7-3 to Sweden's Anette Norberg where McCormick responded with a 7-4 win over Czech Republic's Hana Synackova. McCormick won 9-6 against Russia's Liudmila Privivkova, then won 8-7 against Germany's Andrea Schoepp. McCormick went on to lose 12-6 against Scotland's Kelly Wood. McCormick responded with a 10-3 win over China's Bingyu Wang. McCormick won 9-5 against Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni. McCormick went on to lose 7-1 against Japan's Moe Meguro in their final qualifying round match.
