Powell lost 10-7 to Shauna Streich (Winnipeg, MB) where Powell responded with a 11-7 win over Andrea Crawford (Fredericton, NB). Powell went on to lose 8-5 against Heather Rankin (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
