Fengchun Wang (Harbin, CHN) finished 7-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang lost
7-2 to France's Thomas Dufour, droppimg another game, 11-5 to Germany's Andy Kapp where Wang responded with a 7-5 win over 34136. Wang went on to lose 9-8 against Craig Brown (Madison, USA). Wang responded with a 8-5 win over Denmark's Johnny Frederiksen. Wang went on to lose 8-2 against Scotland's David Murdoch. Wang responded with a 8-2 win over Sweden's Anders Kraupp. Wang won 6-5 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, CAN), then won 7-3 against Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE) and 5-3 against Australia's Hugh Millikin. Wang won 8-7 against Norway's Thomas Ulsrud in their final qualifying round match.
