Fengchun Wang (Harbin, CHN) finished 7-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang lost
7-2 to France's Thomas Dufour, droppimg another game, 11-5 to Germany's Andy Kapp where Wang responded with a 7-5 win over 34136. Wang went on to lose 9-8 against Craig Brown (Madison, USA). Wang responded with a 8-5 win over Denmark's Johnny Frederiksen. Wang went on to lose 8-2 against Scotland's David Murdoch. Wang responded with a 8-2 win over Sweden's Anders Kraupp. Wang won 6-5 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, CAN), then won 7-3 against Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE) and 5-3 against Australia's Hugh Millikin. Wang won 8-7 against Norway's Thomas Ulsrud in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week of the event schedule, Wang did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Wang ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
