Brown won 9-8 against Fengchun Wang (Harbin, CHN). Brown went on to lose 7-6 against Denmark's Johnny Frederiksen. Brown lost 6-4 to Australia's Hugh Millikin. Brown lost 6-5 to France's Thomas Dufour where Brown responded with a 8-6 win over Sweden's Anders Kraupp. Brown won 8-5 against Germany's Andy Kapp. Brown went on to lose 8-7 against 34136. Brown lost 10-4 to Kevin Martin (Edmonton, CAN) in their final qualifying round match.
