Joel Jordison (Moose Jaw, SK) finished 3-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jordison defeated Doug Riach (Winnipeg, MB) 7-1, then won 6-1 against Manitoba's Greg Todoruk and 9-4 against Allan Lyburn (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Jordison earned 3.300 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Whites' Drug Store Curling Classic. For week of the event schedule, Jordison did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jordison ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
