8-2 to Manitoba's Neal Watkins, then responded with a 9-5 win over Craig Zamzow (Swan River, MB). Galbraith won 7-4 against Manitoba's Greg Todoruk. Galbraith went on to lose 7-4 against Shawn Joyce (Saskatoon, SK). Galbraith responded with a 5-0 win over Randy Dutiaume (Winnipeg, MB). Galbraith went on to lose 7-5 against Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Galbraith earned 1.100 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Galbraith did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Galbraith ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
