Kelly Skinner (Hamiota, MB) finished 5-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skinner defeated
Richard Muntain (Carberry, MB) 9-1, then won 10-5 against David Bohn (Winnipeg, MB). Skinner went on to lose 8-3 against Randy Bryden (Regina, SK). Skinner responded with a 6-5 win over Brent Scales (Swan River, MB). Skinner won 9-4 against Murray Woodward (Ste. Anne, MB), then won 6-0 against Allan Lyburn (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Whites' Drug Store Curling Classic, Skinner take home 5.500 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN prize. For week of the event schedule, Skinner did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Skinner ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
