Holland2-3 at 2008 Sobeys Slam

Amber Holland (Kronau, SK) finished 2-3 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Holland defeated Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI) 5-3, then went on to lose 9-3 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK). Holland lost 5-4 to Heather Rankin (Calgary, AB) where Holland responded with a 5-4 win over Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC). Holland went on to lose 8-5 against Marie-France Larouche (Quebec, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.

Holland earned 2.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Holland did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Holland ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
