Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) 6-3, then went on to lose 6-3 against Crystal Webster (Grande Prairie, AB). Butler responded with a 7-5 win over Carrie Delahunt (Toronto, ON). Butler won 9-2 against Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB). Butler went on to lose 7-4 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON). Butler responded with a 7-3 win over Karen Fallis (Winnipeg, MB). Butler went on to lose 6-5 against Webster in their final qualifying round match.
 
Butler earned 6.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Butler did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Butler ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
