Bryan Miki (New Westminster, BC) finished 2-3 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Miki defeated British Columbia's Dale Grasdal 8-5, then went on to lose 7-2 against Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, AB). Miki responded with a 7-6 win over Jason Larway (Seattle, WA). Miki went on to lose 9-1 against Fengchun Wang (Harbin, CHN). Miki lost 10-5 to British Columbia's Dale Grasdal in their final qualifying round match.
