In their opening game, Simmons defeated British Columbia's Jamie McTavish 5-1, then went on to lose 6-5 against Darren Moulding (Calgary, AB). Simmons responded with a 5-1 win over Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC). Simmons went on to lose 6-4 against Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB). Simmons responded with a 8-7 win over Greg Monkman (New Westminster, BC). Simmons won 6-2 against Dean Ross (Calgary, AB), then won 6-2 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) in their final qualifying round match.

Simmons earned 19.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the PriceWaterhouseCoopers Westcoast Curling Classic. For week of the event schedule, Simmons did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Simmons ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
