6-3 to Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB), droppimg another game, 7-1 to Russia's Andrey Drozdov where Romaniuk responded with a 7-3 win over Brian Gessner (New Westminster, BC). Romaniuk won 9-5 against Japan's Yusuke Morozumi, then won 7-2 against Chris Schille (Edmonton, AB). Romaniuk went on to lose 5-4 against Fengchun Wang (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Romaniuk earned 4.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Romaniuk did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Romaniuk ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
