Ursel went on to lose 5-2 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Ursel lost 9-4 to Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). Ursel lost 7-4 to Shawn Adams (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
