Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) qualified for the 2009 Grey Power Players' Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-2 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2009 Grey Power Players' Championship in Grande Prairie, Alberta;
 
Middaugh finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Middaugh defeated Marla Mallett (Vancouver, BC) 6-0, then won 8-5 against Amber Holland (Kronau, SK). Middaugh went on to lose 8-2 against Cheryl Bernard (Calgary, AB). Middaugh lost 5-4 to Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON) where Middaugh responded with a 8-3 win over Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Middaugh earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Grey Power Players' Championship. For week of the event schedule, Middaugh did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Middaugh ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
